Owl City is one guy named Adam Young. It makes it even more extraordinary.
It is a great song. When I first heard it, I thought it was by Death Cab for Cutie or the Postal Service (which has some Death Cab members)—similar vocal style.

I like the sound, but my desire for songs that make some sense make Owl City annoying.
My daughter and I spent the whole last week laughing like crazy whenever this song came on the radio! It just makes me giggle. It is so… strange.
